Evaluation and Therapy Services for Children in Berks County, Pennsylvania
Evaluations that help you understand your child more clearly
Evaluations
Every evaluation is designed to help you gain a deeper understanding of your child - not just what they’re struggling with, but how they communicate, connect, and interact with the world around them.
We take a thoughtful, individualized approach to assessment, combining observation, play-based interaction, caregiver input, and standardized tools when appropriate. The goal is to get a full picture of your child’s strengths and needs in a way that feels collaborative - not clinical.
Whether you're seeking insight into your child’s communication, trying to make sense of their current challenges, or simply wanting guidance on next steps, we’ll provide a detailed report and recommendations you can actually use. You’ll leave the process with insight, direction, and next steps that align with your child - not just a checklist.
Therapy that’s personalized, playful, and rooted in real connection
Therapy
Our therapy sessions are designed to meet your child where they are - supporting communication, regulation, and connection in ways that feel natural and engaging. We use child-led activities, incorporate interests, and build progress through meaningful interaction, not pressure.
Whether your child is developing language, navigating speech sounds, or working on interaction and engagement, therapy is always individualized. We’ll collaborate with you on meaningful goals and keep you informed along the way, so you feel confident and connected throughout the process.
Our Specialties
Augmentative and Alternative Communication
We support children who use or may benefit from AAC to express themselves - whether through high-tech devices, low-tech boards, or multimodal systems. AAC is not just a backup for speech - it’s a valid and essential form of communication.
Our approach focuses on building autonomy, honoring interests, and supporting authentic expression from the very beginning. We work closely with families to ensure AAC is integrated meaningfully into daily life - not just used in therapy. From initial exploration to advanced use, we meet each communicator exactly where they are.
Echolalia & Gestalt Language Processing
We value echolalia as a meaningful and intentional way children communicate - whether through repeated scripts, favorite lines, or unique sound patterns. For gestalt language processors, communication doesn’t always start with single words, and that’s okay.
We focus on identifying, honoring, and expanding those scripts while creating opportunities for connection and engagement. Therapy is responsive and affirming, helping children move at their own pace toward flexible, spontaneous language - without trying to “eliminate” what’s already working for them.
Motor Speech Sound Disorders
For children experiencing apraxia, articulation challenges, or other motor speech differences, therapy is carefully paced, structured, and adapted to their individual needs. We understand that speech production takes time, trust, and the right support.
Sessions focus on improving clarity, confidence, and coordination without sacrificing joy or connection. We use evidence-based strategies and build progress step by step - always grounded in what helps the child feel successful, understood, and engaged.
Early Language Development
We support children who are just beginning to communicate - whether they’re using gestures, vocalizations, single words, or emerging phrases. Every child’s communication journey looks different, and we focus on building a strong foundation through play, connection, and attunement.
Therapy prioritizes shared interaction, co-regulation, and responsive modeling, helping children feel safe, heard, and motivated to communicate in their own way. We partner closely with caregivers to integrate strategies into everyday routines and create meaningful opportunities for connection throughout the day.
